Useful answers
Your SageIPTV questions.
Does SageIPTV include TV channels, movies, or a content subscription?
No. SageIPTV is a player and playlist editor. You supply your own playlist or portal account and any content subscription it requires. A purchase in SageIPTV does not include a provider’s channels or movies.
Is “Playlist editor & IPTV Player” the SageIPTV iOS app?
Yes. The SageIPTV app for iPhone and iPad is listed on the App Store as Playlist editor & IPTV Player. The separate Apple TV app is listed as SageIPTV for tvOS. See the iOS app page or the Apple TV app page for the correct download.
Which devices can I use?
The iPhone and iPad app requires iOS 15 or iPadOS 15 or later. The Apple TV app requires tvOS 17 or later. These are separate apps with different interfaces; check each App Store listing for current compatibility and purchase details.
Should I choose M3U or Xtream Codes?
Use M3U when your source gives you a direct playlist URL or file. Use Portal for Xtream Codes when it gives you a server address, port, username, and password. Follow the M3U guide or Xtream Codes guide for the iOS setup steps.
Why are channels working but the TV guide is empty?
Playback and program schedules come from different data. An M3U playlist needs matching EPG data; a portal needs its provider to return program information. Check the guide source and channel identifiers using the EPG troubleshooting guide.
Can I cast from iPhone or iPad to Chromecast?
Yes, compatible streams can be cast using SageIPTV’s built-in VLC player. The receiver and iPhone or iPad must be on the same local network, and iOS Local Network access must be allowed. Stream and receiver compatibility still apply. See the Chromecast guide.
How do I use the radio player?
Turn on Enable Audio Player in settings, then open a station from your radio playlist. The player keeps recent stations for returning to them later. See the radio guide for playback and optional startup controls, whose availability depends on your installed version.
Are purchases or subscriptions shared between iOS and Apple TV?
Check the purchase and subscription terms in each app’s App Store listing before buying. Do not assume that an iPhone/iPad purchase unlocks the separate Apple TV app. Contact support if you need help identifying a purchase.
Can I organize and export an M3U playlist on iPhone or iPad?
Yes. The iOS playlist editor lets you reorder categories and channels, show or hide entries, and export a customized M3U playlist to share. Exporting a playlist does not transfer a provider subscription or remove its access restrictions.
Why does a playlist or stream fail to load?
Common causes include an incorrect URL or port, expired provider credentials, an unavailable server, or an unsupported stream at the playback destination. Check the displayed error and try another channel. The setup guides explain the checks for each source type.
Who publishes SageIPTV, and how can I get help?
SageIPTV’s iOS and tvOS apps are published on the App Store by EL Hassan Matar. For app support, email support@sageiptv.com with your device, app version, and error message. For provider credentials, account expiry, or channel availability, contact your content provider.
